Terra Conservancy Operations (TCO) is a Botswana company wholly owned by the Dutch non-profit organisation “Timbo Afrika Foundation”. It has 3 main objectives; creating large(r) game corridors for game to migrate bigger distances, protecting people and endangered species in these corridors, create jobs for young/unemployed people in the wildlife and nature conservation industry. In order to achieve its goals it designs and builds luxury safari operations in relative under developed tourism areas who still have an opportunity to expand in terms of wildlife areas. At the same time it looks at areas where local communities have no other form of income than substance farming and involves these communities in her commercial operations.

TCO currently owns and operates the very luxurious safari camps Koro River Camp and Koro Island Camp in the Tuli Block. Both camps are operated by local staff trained by our mentors. All profits go back to the foundation in support of nature conservation and community training. It has set up a programme with the communities to protect them against elephant impact and is currently negotiating with the community to build a tourism safari operation owned and operated by the community in the same Tuli block area.
