Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB)

The Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB) was formed in 1982 as a membership-based organisation of employers representing businesses in the tourism sector of Botswana. The Association’s mandate is to drive the policy advocacy agenda in order to provide and promote enabling environment for business development and growth within the hospitality and tourism sector. This is achieved specifically by providing members with following:

1. Unified voice to engage with government and other key stakeholders to address any regulatory barriers affecting the hospitality and tourism industry

2. Contribute to the development of evidence-based policy positions as well as analysis of national statements including regional and international

3. Provides membership representation, information sharing, marketing (market access), networking, credibility, and training programmes

The association is an umbrella organization representing 8 sectors of industry
